Social networking sites such as facebook, tumblr, twitter and blogspot have become a major part of a teenager's daily routine. With the millions of users on these sites not all of them are always who they appear to be. There are predators out there! In order to protect yourself and your identity you'll need to use certain privacy settings. There are also things that you can do yourself to protect yourself from cyber-stalking( Cyber stocking is the use of the internet or other electronics to stalk or harass an individual, a group of individuals, or an organization), i'll leave a link at the end of my blog post which provides you with twelve tips that you can use to protect yourself online. :)
I, myself use social networking sites to keep in touch with friend's and distant relatives. To protect myself from cyber-stalking I use facebook privacy settings that only allow my friend's to see what i'm doing, where i'm at, and all my personal information.The internet is a big place so remember guys not everyone on the internet is who they claim to be. I agree that in order to have fun with Facebook, we need to be cautious and careful about the bad people that lurk on the Internet. Changing your privacy settings helps to prevent cyberstalking and for predators to see information about you. I really like how you added a link with extra tips for internet safety!
